Alms for Oblivion

The end is always what you least expect:

The saints are lying in the devil’s arms:

The damned are good and bored, deceiving the elect.

Be kind to animals and found a sect

For human sacrifice on dairy farms:

The end is always what you least expect.

Don Juan in heaven is Don Juan abject:

There cherubim fly after him in swarms:

The damned are good and bored, deceiving the elect.

Visions in steam, the Roman baths, effect

Conversions startling hell like fire alarms:

The end is always what you least expect.

The pirates, plumed with plunder, have been wrecked

On tropic islands, where their kindness charms:

The damned are good and bored, deceiving the elect.

But God is Truth, Pure Being in Pure Act,

And peace is in His will and on His terms.

The damned are done with not deceiving the elect.

The end is always what you most expect.
